Troubleshooting scan reliability
If the scanner cannot read a code from an image, try a sharper image with more contrast and less perspective distortion. For camera scanning, hold the label flat, give the lens enough light, and keep the code inside the target area. If the printed label is the issue, check the quiet zone, module size, line thickness, and whether the printer is scaling the output.
If a generated barcode is invalid, the data may not fit the selected symbology. Retail EAN and UPC values have strict digit rules, while Code 128 is more flexible. Privacy and local processing
Scanning and generation run locally in the browser. Uploaded images are processed for decoding in the page, not used to create an account or prepare a cloud batch. Do not scan regulated personal or medical data in a shared browser session unless your own compliance process allows it.
