A free QR code that keeps working
This generator writes the value you enter directly into the QR code. It does not create a LabelFlow Pro short link, route scans through an analytics service, require a subscription account, or ask you to credit the tool with a backlink. The downloaded PNG is a static image: once printed, its scan result continues to be the value you encoded, with no expiry mechanism in the code itself.
A static QR code is the right choice when the destination is stable and you want a code that is not dependent on a third-party redirect. Create and use a QR code in four steps
- Enter a stable value: paste the final URL, text, asset ID, phone number, or instruction. A printed static QR code cannot be edited later.
- Choose error correction: Medium is a good default. Use Quartile or High when the label may be handled, scuffed, or printed near other graphics.
- Download the original PNG: avoid screenshots and image stretching, which can blur the QR modules.
- Test the physical label: leave a clean white border around the code, print at final size, and scan it with a phone and the device used in your workflow.

Choosing error correction
- Low: clean labels with simple URLs and good print quality.
- Medium: balanced choice for most label jobs.
- Quartile: useful when labels may be scuffed or handled frequently.
- High: best for harsh handling, small labels, or labels with visual decoration nearby.
Troubleshooting QR scan problems
If a QR code does not scan, first reduce the amount of encoded text. Very long URLs and dense data create smaller modules that need a larger printed size. Keep a clear white quiet zone around the code, use dark foreground on a light background, and avoid printing QR codes too close to label edges.
Thermal printer quality matters. If the QR looks blurry, stretched, or clipped, generate a thermal printer test page before printing production labels. If you need to verify the printed result, use the free barcode scanner to check the value after printing.
Privacy and local processing
The QR image is created in your browser from the text you provide. You do not need to register, upload a spreadsheet, or route users through a tracking link. For public labels, remember that anyone who scans the QR code can see the destination or encoded text, so avoid embedding private customer data unless the label is controlled inside your own process.
